Pueblo of Pojoaque Behavioral Health Substance Use Disorder Treatment Capacity Enhancement Project 2020-2021

The Pueblo of Pojoaque Behavioral Health is leading healing efforts through a three-year grant funded by SAMHSA to improve treatment outcomes for patients with substance use disorder (SUD) and reduce risk of overdose in adults 18 years and over.  The program is making significant progress towards their outcomes by increasing access to medication assisted treatment (MAT) and expanding SUD treatment services. The SUD enhancement project focuses on healing through culture, treatment, and support.  Program efforts have decreased drug and alcohol use and increased social connections from intake to follow-up among enrolled participants.  This evaluation summary celebrates the program successes and highlights the results from year one of the program.
